Default National Guard ?'s

I'm an 18 year old female in Massachusetts and just had quick NG questions that I was hoping someone could answer.

1) If I join in Massachusetts, could I request to be put somewhere else or do you get stationed in whatever state you're a resident of?

2) Is there boot camp and do you live in a barracks for this time period?

3) I wear contacts because I have terrible eyesight - would I be able to wear these during training and such?

I tried searching online for these answers but couldn't find anything specific enough to make me feel like I got the correct answer.

1. If you move to another state, you can request a transfer, its' not so hard really.

2. While at basic combat training (boot camp is the Marines) you live in the barracks or bays. You will also live in them during Advanced Individual Training (MOS School)

3. You will not be able to wear your contacts during basic training, you will be issued the lovely Army glasses. A lot of AIT's allow you to wear your civilian glassed or contacts though.
