Default 11 Months and still waiting

I Left for the army in the summer of 2006 and was told after 2 months of Basic that I have asthma and discharged a month and half later from fort Benning GA. So i have had to wait some time to Re Enlist. So this time i decided to Jion the National Guard so i can go to college at the same time. well 11 month ago i give all my med records and Civilain Docotors test results from my tests showing i dont have asthma to him and i enlsited and he told me that it jsut had to go throught the proper channels to get my waiver singed should take a month max.. well sicne then i have been talking to him and he tells me its out of his hands all i can do is wait..What else can i do? i know the army is slow but this is crazy

I'm sorry you have to wait so long.

The waivering process has no set time. When they get to it they get to it.

Haven't you heard that the Army's motto is "hurry up and wait"

Sometimes medical waivers take longer than other types of waivers...

Oh well i guess i talked to a army resrve recruiter today and he said he could get me in faster idk How but o well

some waiver cases are more clear cut than others mine went through in about an hour because it was something that was clear cut (color vision issues) i have heard about cases taking a very long time before they get a yes or no if you want the reserve option talk to them they can review your files and i would try to get them to get a "go ahead" for the waiver before you sign for the national guard since technically you are not employed by them until you take your oath.

Realistically they r probably hoping u just move on!!!!!!!! Chose something else for your life!!!!!!!!
