Looking for Motivation, Inspiration, and Empowerment? How about a network of Army spouses just like YOU?
Army Wife Talk Radio (AWTR) is the internet talk radio show designed specifically for Army wives by Army wives. Our Life. Our Family. Our Soldier. We feature up to the minute information, special reports, stories and interviews that affect YOU!
Army Wife Talk Radio is a podcast that is available every Monday via the website for download or streaming audio through your computer. The show includes information relative to Army wives and a different topic is covered each week.
The purpose is to motivate, inspire, and empower Army wives worldwide to make the most of their lifestyle choice. We strive to do this by providing helpful information, interviews, and tips that take the guesswork out of Army life. We also provide forums & chats, in which relationships can be formed and people can "grow".
AWTR was started by fellow Army wife, Tara Crooks. Crooks has been "married to the military" and "household 6" for nine years now. She is the Proud Work At Home Mama of Wrena, and wife to CPT Kevin Crooks, US Army. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management. She has a passion for educating and providing a sense of community to other army wives. "In this day and age of war and deployments, many wives are left on their own to be, not only a wife and a mother, but also to become a financial advisor and an expert of lawn maintenance," Crooks said. "Becoming a new spouse to a soldier, moving to a new installation, or running a household on your own can be, at the least, stressful. Many wives are left to their own devices with little or no support," she continued.
