Default NJ Army National Guard

My wife is @ Ft. Leonard Wood for BCT & AIT 31B MP. She is in the NJ Army National Guard.
I was hoping to meet members who are currently in or have been in, or family of those.
Any input would be nice. Thanks, Pat

Welcome and good luck to your wife.

I started my journey in the National Guard, went active duty, finished in the Army Reserves and now serve as an Army wife.

Can't help you with the NJ National Guard specifically, but there is plenty of experience on here.

My only experience with the Reserve Components as an Active Army Advisor to an Army Reserve Division. Probably comparing the Army Reserves to the Army National Guard is comparing apples to oranges. The major difference between the two Reserve Components are that Guard units, usually brigade combat teams or seperate brigades, are normally Combat Arms with their own support personnel & they can be put on active duty by the state's governor, congress & the president whereas Reserve units are service & support or training units & can only be called up by congress & the president.
