I was reading that the Army is going to finally go MultiCam within the next three or four years. Is there any possibility that they will?

The point about the Danes is they are historically anti war and yet they see the danger and are acting accordingly unlike larger European nations such as France and Germany that don't want to commit combat troops....

Danes have 700 troops in Afghanistan....call it an overstrength battalion. I know our lads value them

I heard that rumor too Sniper. MultiCam was the initial choice but was considered more pricey than ACUPAT. Its stupid that the Marines patented their pattern which was a copy from the Canadians. If we all shared the BDUs, then what was the problem with sharing the Marine pattern who got it right. When I was in Iraq outside the wire, I tell you if I was a sniper like you seeing the ACUs stick out against the desert brown background, I would have gotten alot of kill shots. Honestly, an average marksman can do the job. The US Army is going the wrong direction with all their service uniforms. They say they get a consensus but its BS because everybody complains about the changes. Its not just normal griping that soldiers do, its an honest consensus on wanting proper change. Get rid of the beret, go to the WWII Pink and Greens and change the ACU to the colors of the Marines. Dont have to spend a whole bunch of money with Multi-cam. Just give us two uniforms. This one will be for desert http://www.workinggear.com/gc/customer/product.php?productid=36253?ROITrakid=25613

Aye, and approx 300 of those are stationed in forward operation bases. 250 of those are infantry (mechinf), rest is assets such as tactical air control parties, Electronic Warfar, Sniper teams, tank squadron etc.
And Germany are not allowed to deploy combat troops as such... not after WW2, which is bullocks tbh.

I doubt it will replace the current camo system, since genuine multicam already has been released for public usage.

Oh and by the way, thanks for all the nice things you guys say about us. Didnt realize the danish army gave such an impression.
That last slideshow really took me back. Most of the pictures are from ISAF4 August 07 - February 08. Taken FOB Sandford and nearby operations in the Greenzone.

Cheers
