Lightbulb Shaving in BCT

I have a question if your skin is sensitive to a razor and you bump up after you shave with is there an alternative to do?

You're going to have bumps. You won't be alone.
If it gets bad enough, you may be able to get shaving profile, but don't count on it.

Just curious but do you shave everyday?, i used to have the same problem and would only shave every 2-3 days because of it, about a year or two ago a older guy at work told me it used to happen to him until he joined the marines and they made him shave every morning and he never had a problem with it once he started shaving daily. So i tried it myself, after a few days ,i've almost never had them again, every now and then i still get them on my neck, but its nothing compared to what it used to be.

You'll be required to shave every day in BCT, even if you have no beard. It's highly unlikely you'd be given a medical profile for shaving in BCT, possible but unlikely. Once you get to a unit you'll have a better chance of getting that shaving profile. Two of my men had them & kept extremely short beards. I'd always razz them about it asking them why they forgot to shave this morning & demanding to see their profile. All in good fun. I suppose they thought I was a senile old goat that forgot about their profiles from day to day.

Ever see a whole unit with a shaving profile? In the early 90's the whole unit I was in came back from the field with a "turkey mite" infestation. Everyone who went to the field came back with this nasty outbreak and rash from head to toe.
Shaving was murder. Standing at attention in formation was impossible with out scratching.
Within 2 weeks most of us looked like Grizzly Adams and we were constantly having to show our profile when we were out of the battalion area. The down side is that we had the attention of most of the post. everyone knew we were the "bearded battery".

Now how many young people on this site do you think know who Grizzly Adams is?

If I would have been in that battery I would have been proud to have had that prestigious title!

I never heard of a turkey mite. Are they any good to eat?

Must be an Artillery thing.

I know! I know! I also know the name of the mule.
and before the that little outbreak, I never heard of a turkey mite. I'm not sure that's what really got us. I always figured that was a way for the brigade doctor to get rid of us. That crap lasted forever.
