Default Guten Tag

Hi I am Lou. I have been in the military for over 19 years. A veteran of the Marine Corps now Regular Army overseas. I am a vet of OIF and now soon to be OEF. I deploy again for another year in a few weeks and will hope to apply my Warrant Officer skills. Just was bored and registered to see if there was any good conversation or assistance needed on this forum.

Take care.

Hi, Lou. Welcome to the site. Good conversation can be initiated by you. You must have a lot of experiences you can relate keeping OPSEC in mind. Assistance is always welcome from experienced soldiers.

What Warrant Officer MOS do you hold?

Stay safe on your next deployment & stay in touch as often as you can.

Believe me, I am cognizant of OPSEC. I am former 101st Airborne that was there from 04-07. I am a 251A Signal Warrant. Thank you for the kind message.

I was Signal for awhile during Desert Storm. That's how I got my diamond the first time as a 31Z5HM. Ironically I was primaried as 11B & served my combat time while in the Navy in 'Nam. After 27 years in the military, 6 in the USN as a Frogman, most of 21 in the Airborne Infantry I never got the CIB. Never served in combat as an 11B/Z. Retired right before 9/11. I guess the Tangoes felt safe in attacking us with me out of the picture! . They wouldn't let me come out of retirement, unfortunately. I tried many times & would go in a heartbeat if allowed.

Well TOP, I bet in your Bronze Star or MSM citations, there must be verbage that talks about your actions. I bet you have seen more of your share of action. Sometimes, its just a matter of being at the right time and place. I received my combat action badge as a military policeman doing combat OPs in Iraq and there are still soldiers today that have seen action and havent received something for it.

There are many retired that have been recalled and one LTC is in my unit but is going to remain rear detachment. I hope you get your shot again in the future.
