Post Broken heart!

My fiance Left Tuesday January 25 for Iraq. Firsst his battery and platoon stayed in Kuwait. Now his platoon has branched off and are staying in Kuwait until the end of the month or next month. I really do not understand why he has to stay there and others are in Iraq. I get weekly or monthly updates about him,but they can not give me much information b/c he is under different control. Can someone please explain to me why they split up???.......

be thankful first of all that he doesn't have to go to Iraq yet. One reason that they split off is because of different missions. they may need some in Iraq, and some in kuwait. another reason is because of MOS. His MOS or job may be needed in Kuwait whereas someone elses MOS is needed in Iraq. Another reason is rotation. His unit or battery (Is he field artillery?) may rotate in. When 1 unit leaves, part of his unit takes their place. Another unit leaves, another part of their unit takes the other units place etc...... Another reason can be that he is in the rear part of the units theatre of operations whereas the other part of his unit is in the forward part of the operations. There are many scenarios. These are just a few. Hope this information helps.
