I agree with the closing of this thread. Just like to get in before it's locked.

Blue Skies Ranger, your watch is over.

A 21 year old soldier who was KIA in the service of his country doesn't deserve this kind of disrespect.
Snap out of it Glenn, Nobody intentionally disrespected, Some people just don't know when to shut up.

RIP to the fallen hero mentioned and to your son to

RIP to the fallen

A nation mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Every mans death diminishes me

I stand by my decision. People wouldn't argue & curse in a funeral home, at least not any that I've ever been to. No comments were even necessary. I just felt I had to get it off of my chest as I had just found out about it. He was a close personal friend of my son's & he was like a nephew to my wife & I just like all Rangers whether we know them or not.

The same thing happened to Tacky a few years ago when he started a memorial thread about his fallen buddies at Mogadishu, Somalia. The thread was hijacked by a lot of irreverent, irrelevant foolishness.

I don't feel I was disrespected personally & I couldn't care less if I had been but it had no place on the thread memorializing a fallen hero.

I just want to put an end to it.

Sorry Glenn, I'll bite my tongue in future. No disrespect to the fallen was intended.
