Default pre deployment block leave question

Is it typical for the soldiers in a unit going on a pre deployment block leave to only be allowed to travel 250 miles or less from the base?

That's usually not their actual block leave. That might be a pass or a small amount of leave a week or so before they deploy when they put that restriction and a lot of times it's 150 miles.

But, it's up to each chain of command the restrictions they put on their Soldiers, but that is not usually the norm when they go on their predeployment block leave, they can go wherever they want, a lot of couples go on cruises and whatnot.
