Enlistment Question
My brother-in-law is hoping to enlist in the Army Reserves. He wants to pay for school, all the other good things that can come from it.
His problem is that he already did this with the Navy. He enlisted, entered DEP, and on the eve of MEPS, after being cleared and basically being ready to go, he bailed.
That was three years ago.
Aside from the nominal things re: He will probably bail again, etc. he is currently waiting on something called a P3 form from the Navy? I am guessing this is something reflecting the letter he sent bailing on the Navy.
Now, I am familiar with re-enlistment codes, etc This is new to me.
Are they saying he's an RE3?
Second question, is this form something that's going to haunt him? Is he going to get crap? Is he even eligible to enlist?
He's getting the hard sell from an Army Reserve recruiter in FL. I just want him to know what's fact and fiction here.
Any thoughts?
