Does anyone have friends or family in the F compnay 1/13 at Fort Jackson or someone who has already been through this. Have they got to use the phones yet?

my son is at fort jackson right now - starting week 3 of bct. his platoon is D Co. 1-13th Plt 3 Soul Reapers.

My son is D-Co. 1-13th, 4th Platoon... Undertakers. D Company started 2 weeks before your soldier, and we haven't gotten any calls yet.

How often does he get to use the phone? Do they have to do push-ups for mail? How long did it take for you to get a letter?

No phones yet...first letter was about a week after he started......and yes, they have to do push-us for letters, but don't let that stop you... I've sent my son 5 letters and a package in the 2 weeks since he started.. They're always happy to do push-ups for them...

my son is in the 3rd Plt of D Co 1-13th "soul reapers" and they do not have to do push ups for letters and they have been able to call home a couple of times...I guess each DS has got their own rules. I heard from my son this week because he passed his first aide test so he got phone time...so I guess it depends..

I got my first letter from F- Company "Ruff Riders" yesterday. To my knowledge she has not been able to call home yet. She says she's exhausted. I wonder when she will be able to use the phone.

F-Co is only one week into the red phase and they got to use the phones twice this weekend! Once on Saturday for 2 minutes and once on Sunday for 5 minutes! WooHoo!

it is so great to hear from our family members when they are in bct....just to hear their voices can make our days!!!!

I got a letter today dated March 26th. She still hadn't gotten any mail. How long does it taken them to get mail? Do they have mail call everyday? I overnighted something on Monday 3/23. As of the 26th she still hadn't gotten it Can anyone shed some light?
