Thanks, The Idea is that they help pay for school, and Reserves let me do that, I'll look into it, but the ultimate goal is to get a shot at RIP.

An Update: Since My Parents did not sign and told me to wait until I was 18, I pursued other options since my path was not cement and qualified for a NROTC (Marine Option) scholarship, so I will be a jarhead instead.

As far as I can tell, Army and Marine Infantry don't differ that much... can anyone verify that?

I can tell you this...My friend is a Marine..We equally have the same confidence and pride in our work and soldier skills...I take great pride and always felt it's an honor being Army Aviation. Awesome...Being a Marine is an honor.The few The proud The Marines.Congrads,You have leadership skills ..You deserve it.....so whats next? Marine Recon?

There are some difference between Army and Marine Infantry. One isn't better than the other, however. You'll have less opportunities in the Corps in terms of varying assignments simply because of the size, but as long as you're happy with being a Marine - you'll have no problems with Corps life.

What's next for him is getting through college. Looking beyond that is pointless and will distract him from his 50m target.

What is 50m? Sorry, I'm new. Any links for definitions of these numbers?

A target that is 50 meters away from you. 50m = 50 meters, about 150 feet or so.
