Default Senkaku Islands

For, it would seem completely bizarre reasons. China is hell bent on claiming a group of Islands with to my knowledge no inhabitants. Japan see's the Islands as hers. Could this at last be the Chinese revenge for Japans continuing reluctance to apologize for atrocities committed during WW2, or are they just after the oil in the area?

Taiwan also claims rights to the Islands and the US by default also backs Japan/ Formosa, as there's oil involved!

Mineral resources are always a key factor, But its about time that China showed some intelligence and portrayed its self with some human decency for a change.
