Yes it sure has. I am a teacher by the way and taught at Morehead for awhile too. Maysville is getting a casino, can you believe that? Having been raised here you know what a HUGE difference Fort Sill must be for my son. He said it was just dirt as far as you could see....sounds bad but I am sure it must just be because he was raised in the hills...Thanks so much for responding to my worried questions. It helps more than you know.

Thumbs up Ft Leonard wood

The boys there are starting to get active. It won't be long before all the DS are back. My son said the ones that are not back should be by the 24th. So between now and then, they are doing alot of cleaning. Wish they would have learned that at home...

This is a great place to make freinds. Have met a few people mothers and wife of other soliders here that have gone through with my son. It real helps.

I got a letter from my son today also, he said it is COLD! I agree this is a great way to relieve my stress and everyone is so helpful.

Nope, no hills. a lot of flat land. you can just about set your watch to when the wind picks up.
As it gets closer to spring, the armadillos are like birds. by the time he gets to AIT spring will be in full swing. It's not like KY but its not bad. If you can get out there for graduation, I would recommend the trip.
if you're interested, goggle M109 Paladin, M198 Howitzer and of course Ft Sill. These will give you an idea what your boys will be working on or near. Sill's web site has a lot of good contact and other info on it.

STRENGTH

My mind, body and spirit are strong
I take time each day to rejuvenate and recharge
I draw from deep well of peace and calm
I breathe in strength and release my fears
I go after my heart's deep desires
I can accomplish anything I focus on my goal and have the strength to make it happen
I choose to be unstoppable I am strong I act in spite of my fears
I am bigger than my concerns and worries
I can do anything i put my mind to
Each day i am getting stronger
I can take care of myself
The strength of others inspires me daily
I trust my intuition and live a courageous life

I am so proud of my son also. And all I can tell you about staying strong is that you need to trust in our heavenly father. I go there every day. My son has only been gone for 18 days and it seems like a million. I got a phone call last night two minutes that was all we got. I wanted hours. It was so good to hear his voice and so hard not to cry. I try so hard to stay strong for him because he needs me to stay strong. My heart still hurts, I don't know how to make that stop. I just put my trust in God. I would love to chat with you. If you need anything please let me know. When will your son leave?
