American and British Military Equivalents
I'm not trying to start a pissing match as to whose military is better... that's already a thread. I'm just looking for some clarification as to which American forces correspond to UK forces.
Maybe...
USMC & Royal Marines
US Army & British Army
US Army Rangers & ???
US Army Special Forces & ???
Delta Force (or SEALS) & SAS

I know your note coloradope, cos if you were, the Irish Military would be there.. afterall, ours whilst not the biggest is the best!!....cool: Anyway, self indulgent jokes aside, I would have to say that your comparisons need some adjustment.....
USMC & Royal Marines - Both good at what they do, but Royal Marines train in multi tasking roles, where US Marines are more coventional in their tasking.
US Army & British Army - Size matters, different models.. US Deparmentalisation model works for its size, UK multi tasking role works for its size, both good at what they do, and both very well practiced at this stage.
US Army Rangers are US Army - I would put them in line with Royal Marine Comando for some of their missions, and say they both do it well.
US Army Special Forces & SAS.. Both well trained, and multi disciplined special operations units, with clear levels of expertise above and beyond the vast majority of whats out there... once again, whilst similiar in expertise levels, no clear "winner", and nobody whos there I imagine would really need to care about such a point.... if ya get my meaning...
Delta Force & SAS.. well the SAS would be a clear winner here as Delta Force IS Chuck Norris!!... lol... Dont think even Chuck could argue with that!!....
I hope I have assisted you in this exercise......
Exo..

I'm sure it's a mighty fine force... It's amazing what a man can do with a belly full of potatoes and Guiness

I know that the Commandos are what the WWII US Rangers were based off of... and I was unsure if all RMs are RMCs, but I'd suppose that they aren't... kinda like all Rangers are US Army, but all US Army aren't Rangers.

You act like a twelve year old, not a 65 year old.

Show me one instance where I have behaved like a 12 year old. I think you'll find you can't because there arn't any. However your outbursts are becoming more frequent and show a complete lack of respect and a general lack of intelligence

If your mother was killed in the Allied Bombing Runs, I am very sorry. But your outbursts, like "Really really sad, when do your balls drop again? " sounds like something my 12 year old cousin and his buddies say, not my grandfather. The thing about the Internet is that anonymity is easy to keep so su****ion is omnipresent.

Well Tacky use to ask this question, So I thought it was something ok to say. I just meant it been asked like a hundred times before.
I tried to ask some different questions but everybody wants to make fun of my name and my family history and they destroyed my threads
