Question Prospective Army Aviator

Hi I am a SPC as a Medic in the Army Infantry and I need advice on how I can become an aviator in the Army. I need advice on what things would help my chances, what routes I should take ie college, warrant officer, etc and what are the best ways to get there and what would help my chances the most. Thanks all.

Well what I can tell you is don't go the way of a officer if you want to fly. The fact is you wont get any stick time. The best way to go is through warrant officer school. Its about as simple as changing your MOS. Where they get you is you half to take several test and there is a lengthy application process.

yep warrant officer school is the best route. you need atleast a 110 GT score, Score 90 or higher on the revised Flight Aptitude Selection Test (FAST)...after that, you go to WOCS for six weeks and then go directly to the flight-training program. In my company we need a letter of reccommendation from a CW5 and my commander but im not sure if thats just us as a flight platoon or if it applys to everyone.. and if im not mistaken you will have to have atleast 4 years of retainability afterwards.. as a commissioned officer you can still fly but not as much as a warrant... hope this helps
