Default Stuttering a problem

Ok..So i have a little stuttering problem. It mostly effects me when i have to repeat myself, read outloud or most of the time it's with words that start with vowel sounds. I can talk alright it just effects me somtimes. some friends of mine dont even notice. But it's really hard for me to say my last name. Is that going to effect my enlistment?

I highly doubt it will keep you from enlisting. It was many years ago when I joined, but if I remember correctly, I think that they may ask you if you stutter in the prescreening...but then they ask you if it keeps you from communicating effectively--or something like that. They have waivers for just about everything. Best thing for you to do is to ask a recruiter about it. Do it over the phone, if you don't feel comfortable doing it face to face. Good Luck!
