Default Class As...

How much comes out of pay for the Class As? My hubby got his a month ago and they still have charged his pay for his Class As... also, he has to have the new blues by 2010? Or sooner?

If your husband is enlisted, he doesn't get charged for his Class A's, it's part of his basic issue. As far as the new blues, mandatory possession date isn't until late 2014, so there is no rush for him to get them.

Have they even come out with the finished design of the Blues yet? I know there was a big question of unit shoulder patches & combat patches, Tabs, berets & bloused trousers for Airborne & etc., & a few other details.

If the Army Blue uniform is supposed to be traditional I think someone forgot that the green or OD green uniform has been around a lot longer. My feelings? Leave the blue to the Navy, Coast Guard, Marines & Air Force. The Army could use a blue uniform for formal or mess dress like they are presently doing but to make a class A blue I think is wrong.

Don't get me started on the ACU. They stand out like a sore thumb in woodland conditions. For once the Marines got it right with a woodland MarPat & a desert MarPat. As far as camouflage goes one color does not fit all.

He is Army Reserves, but currently at all of his training. So, does he have to turn his Class As in when he is done with training?
