My husband is in basic right now in unit 31 charlie company platoon 1 i want now if when he have a permision to call

If training permits and they have earned it, Drill Sergeants usually try to make Sunday's the day to call home.

Typically Soldiers are supposed to call home within 72 hours of reporting to their actual basic training unit.
