Default SEALs seeing in dark waters?

I've heard about some sort of thing that scientists put under someone's (a blind person or SEAL) touge and on their back and hooks up into their brain somehow and let's them see in the waters when it's dark and othe places it's hard to see. Like night vision, only it works in water and stuff. Is any of this true?

hmh.. only thing that goes under the tongue is a nitro for heart problems..lol.

to see in dark waters with some sort of technical device hooked to your brain?
such cyber tech is so prototype stages everywhere that i have troubles
imagining that kind of hardware beeing a working military application..

but lets think about it... humans sight center is in the back of the brain..
device under the tongue? why on earth? preasure conditions? controllable with tongue?

it is true that the cybernetics can nowadays work in the degree of black and white pixeled
sight for a blind person.. this is basicly trough a camera to the sight center in the brain..
and the patient can "see" the differences in light.. like the shadows and other differences in light. but the view is fuzzy and doesnt provide color sight to my knowlage.

well then... what if this technology would be mixed with underwater sonar?
perhaps it would screw up the persons sense of sight.
