Default weight and height requirements

ok im a pretty big guy im 6'3" 275 i was wondering what the army could use a big guy like me for? if there is any suggestions on what you think would be best i would greatly appreciate it because i want to join but i dont know what to do once i join

6'3"?? 275pounds dude im 6ft almost 6ft 1 and I only weight 150. Unless your extremely muscular then you have pretty much no chance of gettin in the military. Loose weight and you should be fine tho.

I'm 6'3" as well and back-in-the-day when I enlisted, I think the max weight for me was 217 pounds. So you must be at least 50 pounds over. They'll measure your neck and torso and do some funky comparisons--but you are way over, man.

yeah but i dead lift 500 i dont look fat im just huge i dont know what it is

It doesn't matter what you can do. They have to follow Army Regulations. You never know though, you just might pass the tape test, and they seem to be throwing waivers at everything these days. But if you are in the Army and cannot pass the height/weight or tape test you will be "flagged". This means that you will be basically barred from "favorable actions" which is promotions, military schools (sniper, Ranger, airborne) and all that good stuff.

One of my friends dead lifts 500 and hes nowhere near fat hes just got huge leg muscles. hes maybe 5'8" and weighs a little more than me I think.
