I'm pretty sure that it's performance isn't in question, but it's durability in extreme weather.

The testing that I have seen and read about were top notch in stopping a hail o dozens of heavy hitting rounds, but I think the issue was that it was falling apart in dry, arid climates. With luck they can fix that.

Dragon Skin has been talked about before here:

"certain tests".. as you might have noticed, im Finnish. i have no hands on experience or hard facts. but i do know that the vest failed atleast some of the US army tests
and there was heated discussion about it because
of the current firm behind the US armys protective gear has
some leverage... etc... i will not go further in to that since
i don't know too much of the incedent.

Thanks for the links, Sniper. I'll do a forum search before I ask any more dumb questions. Honestly, though, if Tacky says Dragon Skin is crap, we'll stick with the Interceptor. It's pretty obvious, even to a noob, that he's not in it for money.

Understood, JRJ. I just want to make sure that Medic has everything he needs to do the best possible job. If buying him a better vest will give him more confidence, that's one less thing he'll have to worry about when his 68W skills are really needed. And, even if he's killed or wounded, I'll have the comfort of him knowing that I was behind him 150%. Any money I spend for his equipment could just as easily be spent on sending him on a long vacation.

I totaly agree with you..and I would rather have good body armour then not have any at all...I missed your post to be honest my comments were directed at Torpso....He said about certain Army tests on the vests..my point was no matter how many tests your gear has gone through nothings set in stone, not in combat....I should have quoted him Im sorry

keep surporting....our soldiers need it
