Default Finland upgrades the AT capability with the NLAW

STT/Iltalehti

Finland has ordered more of the NLAW antitank weapons from Swedish Saab Borfors Dynamics.
The transaction is worth about some 20 million euros and will happen within 2009.
the total sum of the deal now amounts to about 58 million euros when the second stage is completed.

I missed this thread the first time around.....

Nice weapon Torps by all accounts....We decided to go for it in early 2002 I think

Very compact and light enough to be honest...Its got a very good punch and you can fire it from a window in a closed in space..It works well alongside the Javelin system because it has a better close quarter capability

Very much like the American FGM-172...We decided to go with the NLAW though

I think the contract with Sabb is worth about 400m and I think BAE and Thales are in on the construction process for NLAW UK

You have gotta love those sweds....They have been making top of the range weaponry for years

Cool stuff alright, that round looks like it gives more punch then I thought. The swedes are good munuitions makers for sure... Its compact and one man operated making it a great close quarter weapon in section support.
