Default Deployment after AIT

Okay, so my hubby sent me a letter from BCT saying his recruiter said about 99% of them will deploy to way for a year after AIT is complete...

If that is the case for my husband, who will be in the Reserves, does he get any time at home with us between AIT and deployment?

Reservists usually only deploy when their Reserve unit goes.

A good rule of thumb - expect to be deployed if you're Regular Army, Army Reserve or Army National Guard. That way it won't come as a shock.

If your husband's Reserve unit has come off of deployment recently then he should be OK unless they farm him out to a deploying unit that has a manpower shortage.
