I have a question, and this is the best place to ask it, I bet. I'm a 23-year old college grad interested in joining the reserves to become a reserve officer. One small catch - I have a class one misdemeanor on my record (theft by deception under $500) from when I was 19. Will this bar me from joining the way I'd like to, and will it prevent me from getting a security clearance? My criminal history, to this point, has rendered me unable to own a firearm. Thoughts? I really appreciate it.
