You'd more than likely be able to enlist with waivers. Your inability to own a firearm suggests that you were convicted of a felony. You could get a waiver but going the officer route might be more difficult. Waivers are dependant on the amount of convictions & what type & how long since the last one. Even after a certain amount of simple misdemeanors you can't get waivered.

I suggest you see a Recruiter, tell him everything & then take it fom there.
