I know what I need to bring and what not to bring and all that jazz. Basically I know what BCT will be like with a lot of hurry up and wait at first...followed by some intrusive medical stuff and then a lot of physical/mental stress.

Just wanting some general advice on how to approach things to help get me through. I would like some philosphy in terms of how things work. It will help me get through it.

Thanks in advance.

Basically, you will need encouragement every day--it is going to get extremely tough and hard to keep motivating yourself to keep going. But you just have to do it. You can make it. Do you have people--friends and family--to write to who will write you back at least once a week? I know that really helped my soldier--getting a letter (or 2 or 3 if they don't do mail call for a week) during the week.

Watch out for some of the other guys--some are just punks and they will beat anyone who crosses their path at the wrong time.

Oh, I can almost guarantee that someone is going to think that using extra-strength icy-hots somewhere they shouldn't go...not a good idea! Several of the guys in my guy's group found this out the hard way, so don't do it! lol Good luck!

LOL I am 25 and been thru my Icy Hot in questionable areas phase long ago. I am not worried about someone trying to mess with me...my uglyness makes people afraid of me. But I do hope I get as many letters as I am expecting. I'll want something to take my mind off things when it starts getting tough.

and some of that would probably work too.

I'd prefer some of that than someone else's prescription. lol

Yes, your ugliness is quite frightening, I must admit. After you harness your ugliness, it will keep you safe, Johnny San. lmao.

Listen
Listen
Listen!.....that the best advice I can give JB

Dont go there with a "Mr know it all attitude" mate....thats a quick way to get yourself PTed until your arms and legs fall off...Remember..your mind controls the body..(strong head, strong legs)

As for mottos?

Pain is temporary...failure can last a lifetime.

Endure the most.... become the best.
