Fingerprinting system aimed at deterring recruit ‘ringers’ Email This Story Print This Story

The DoD already uses fingerprints for many of its employees, both Government and Civilian. They want to start using the same technology to help identify recruits and prevent them from sending in "ringers" to take the ASVAB (like the SAT), physical and boot camp. The puzzling part to me is that this article makes it out to be a difficult task. I just got back from Disney World and their parks uses finger prints to make sure you are the one on the ticket. It took less than 10 seconds. If Disney can do that then the Army should be able to figure it out. Read the full story.
